Baked Feta

Baked Fetta I felt like having a savoury afternoon nosh so I opened the fridge and found the feta that I bought that morning. It was still unopened (unheard of in my home)I and I just knew what i needed to do. I Placed it on a sheet of baking paper, put the feta on top, sprinkled some herbs, drizzled some olive oil and bunged it in the oven, As soon I got it out, I drizzled some yummy honey and ate it with some crusty bread, also straight out of the oven. It was oh so soft and warm and rich and tangy with a hint of sweetness. I am too embarrassed to tell you how much I consumed . All I can say is it’s easy on the eye and easier on the pallet. Baked Fetta cheese

  • 200g fetta

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon mixed italian herbs

  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, leaves only

  • Chill flakes (optional)according to taste (I used just a pinch)


  1. Preheat the oven to 200c

  2. Place fetta on an oven tray lined with baking paper. Pour olive oil on each side of fetta, sprinkle Italian spice mix, thyme leaves.

  3. Bake in the oven for 20min.

  4. Take the Fetta out of the oven and drizzle honey while it’s hot, sprinkle with chill flakes

  5. Serve with french bread YUUUU
