I would like to wish all you wonderful people who are near and far, a safe and happy Christmas. With lock downs in place I know it's not easy for some of us and I hope you get the chance to celebrate christmass with some of your loved ones. Thinking of you all, sending love and good wishes to you over Christmas.
With love and gratitude.
For Jacquie and Chris,
I made this layered torte for Jacquie and Chris’s early Christmas dinner which was a fabulous spread full of fantastic flavours and top notch quality cuisine.
I knew I needed to make an extravaganza of a cake to represent these two special, creative people.
Jacquie and Chris are clever, witty, generous and creative. Jacquie is an amaaaaazing cook and Chris is a writer and editor extraordinaire…
What cake do I make for these two larger than life, unique individuals? A bigger than Ben Hur cake of course, but this cake didn’t only have to match their personality, but their generosity, open heartedness and their appreciation for the finer things in life…
This decadent multi layered torte, is filled with copious amounts of chocolate mud/pudding, vanilla cream and so much more, because only an extravagant cake will do justice to these two personalities. It has layers upon layers of deliciousness, crunchy and smooth all at the same time.Decadent and over the top, but in a good way, just like our two friends are.
This is a labour of love and the ingredients list is long. It isn't difficult to make, infact it's easy but TIME CONSUMING. I will assemble the list and get round to putting it together...
